Sixth Class had great fun with their Design a Doras Christmas Art Project. The standard was high and the end result was fantastic. Their team work skills were put to the test, from ideas to design to completion. It was lovely to see them working together, having so much fun and pride in the finished product . Well Done Rang a Sé. Today the boys and girls from Junior and Senior Infants performed The Nativity, and what a performance it was!! . They were amazing ! All their hard work over the last number of weeks paid off. It was wonderful and heart warming to see the children so happy and proud as they sang out each and every song. A big Thank You to all those who came along making it a truly special occasion. On Friday last the children from 3rd to 6th Class sang carols at the Shopping Centre Plaza in aid of The Lions Club . A fabulous morning was had , as everyone got into the Christmas Spirit. Thank you to all those who came to support .The sun shone down on Bohadoon as our Annual Sports Day got underway. The smell of sunscreen was in the air as children and teachers set out their stations for the day . The day was packed with all sorts of races and activities, from the sack race to the water race , from obstacle courses to knock the bottle, there was even some yoga thrown in for good measure. The children were superb making it a pleasure for all . Thanks to everyone who helped out , it was a great day.Ms Murray and her class had a very busy day on Friday last. They started off their day with a trip to Durrow, where they walked and scooted along The Greenway, before catching up with the children from 5th Class for a picnic . From here they went on to Lemybrien to test out the playground, which proved a big hit, swings, slides, zipwires, roundabouts and climbing frames , so much fun !! After working up an appetite with all that fresh air , what better way to round off a great day, than a stop off at Mc Donalds. Miss Collins' and her class enjoyed a fun filled day out on Wednesday last . They began with a visit to Carriglea Woodland Walk , where they fed the donkey's and played in the fairy fort, this was followed by a stop off at Abbeyside Playground , for a run about, taking turns on the swings , slides , zip wire and roundabout, before heading back to school for some treats . A busy but brilliant day.!!! The children from Third and Fourth Class enjoyed a day out in An Rinn. They began with a very scenic cliff walk , taking in the views as they meandered through the tall grass. Baile na Gall beach was perfect for a run around .This was followed by a stop off in the local playground, where plenty fun was had playing on the swings , slides and zip wire. No tour would be complete without some treats so a visit to Spar it was to stock up and replenish the energy levels .!! The children of Fifth Class enjoyed a day filled with fun and fresh air . They gathered at the Railway Cottage before cycling to Durrow . They stopped off in the tunnel to paint some fairy doors , this was followed by a picnic on the grass at O'Mahoneys. With their energy levels back up they began the return journey , taking a detour to Clonea Strand, where they splashed around in the water and played games on the beach , the day was rounded off with a quick visit to Gordon's for some well deserved treats before arriving back at the Railway Cottage. Sixth Class enjoyed a day of sun, sea and surf in Tramore. They caught some waves, fished in the rock pools and enjoyed chips on the prom. It was a lovely day enjoyed by all, what a lovely way to wrap up their eight years. First and Second Class had a great day out on Tuesday last as they visited Al Eile Stud and Colligan Woods. They had a walk through the polytunnnels before heading off to meet the horses. There was great excitement as they got to see the tack room, and where the horses bathe .The day was finished off with a quick stop in Colligan Woods for some treats . |
