This is our final unit of work. Thank you for every effort you have made during these times.
I think we will all be glad to welcome the summer, I hope you and your families have a lovely and safe break. I have missed the children and I look forward to seeing them in September, I’m sure they will have grown in so many ways .
The English , Maths and Irish Activities from last fortnight may be carried over and continued.
In addition this week we will finish up with some fun activities.

Q1 What Shape is your front door ?
Q2 How many rooms are in your house ?
Q3 How many legs are on your kitchen table ?
Q4 Can you find something in the shape of a circle ?
Q5 Who is the tallest in your family ?
Q6 If the 3 Bears came on a sleepover, how many including your family would be sleeping ?
Q7 What is the heaviest thing in your bedroom ?
Q8 What is the longest thing in the sitting room ?
Q9 Look at all the coins in your piggy bank, which coin has the highest value ?
Q10 Can you find any patterns in your house – tiles/wallpaper/duvet cover ?
Q11 Look at the cartons in the fridge which carton holds the most ?
Q12 If you walked in the front door and turned left what room would you be in ?
Q13 Who is first/second/third /last up in the morning ?
Q14 What is the biggest room in your house ?
Q15 Can you find something in the shape of a triangle ?

Can you find something in your house for each letter of the alphabet ..
A – apple
B – bed
C – cup……….and so on
Finding a Rainbow
Can you find a rainbow in you garden ?
In your garden look for something red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple …..
Summer Scavenger Hunt
Can you find , a flower, a tree, a bird, grass, a butterfly, a leaf, a bee, sun,
Secret Names
Can you find an object for each letter of your name/sisters name/brothers name/pets name.
Put out the objects and see can someone work out the secret name
Syllables
Clap the syllables for the name of each person in your family … order from the person with the most syllables to the person with the least syllables.
The Starburst Game
Pick a sweet and answer the question ..
Red – Tell us something fun you did during the closure
Orange – Tell us about the coolest place you’ve ever visited.
Yellow – Tell us your favourite thing to do.
Green - Tell us something unusual about you .
Purple – Tell us something you would like to do when you are olde.
Summer Art and Craft

My Summer Bucket List
Make a list of 5 things you would like to do over the summer.
Can you find something in your house/garden that rhymes with,
fed cap moon floor ball up boys ramp ink bee
First one Back
You can play this against a member of your family.
Pick a letter of the alphabet , then race to find something in the house beginning with that letter, first one back wins .
Target
Set out 3 targets on the grass , assign an amount to each target eg 5 for the closest target, 10 for the next and so on . Each child takes 3 throws and writes down their scores , tally the scores at the end.
