There was lots of excitement around on Friday as the children came to school in their Halloween costumes ready for our mid term assembly. Each class performed a Halloween themed piece and some children were picked out to show their particularly innovative costumes to the rest of the school. Earlier in the month the pupils who had taken part in the Dungarvan Library Summer Reading Project received their certificates and medals. It is great to see the numbers increasing each year. Third and fourth classes also went to soccer and football blitzes with Garranbane and Old Parish schools recently. There are lots of photos in the slideshow below. Have a happy and safe Halloween everyone! On Friday we were delighted to welcome back some of our past pupils and their team mates who called to the school to talk to us about their recent success with St. Pat's, they spoke eloquently about the benefits of being part of a team, of being good winners and good losers and of the importance of being open to trying out different positions on the team during training. Some of our present pupils are also part of the squad and they are all excellent role models to the younger girls in the school. Well Done and Congratulations Girls! |
